Description
This handy little guide to ‘motoring’ in the Windy City was published locally in 1933 by the Chicago Tribune Public Service Offices, intended for use by the throngs of visitors attending the World’s Fair that year. The pocket-sized volume includes 10 pages of rules and advice for driving (and parking) across the city. Information on traffic signals is provided, along with the reassuring quote “Motorists who use good sense and judgement run little danger of infringing any laws.” An interesting note – all left turns were prohibited in the Loop!
