Description
This relatively simple map shows the results of several geologic observations made by J.C. Roehm, Associate Engineer for the Alaska Territorial Department of Mines. The Chrome Queen Claim lies east of the Windy River on the Kenai Peninsula.
Locations of chromite seams and chromite floats (both potential sources for valuable chromium) are noted, along with survey posts and a handful of contours. Sample results in the upper right show high concentrations of the precious metal.
Published in Juneau in 1941 as part of Some chromite occurrences at Red Mountain, Kenai Peninsula, Alaska (also authored by Roehm).
