Promotional map of the Santa Barbara wine country capitalizing off the recent popularity of the film Sideways.

Released in 2004, the movie Sideways follows characters played by Paul Giamatti and Thomas Haden Church as they take a tour of the Santa Barbara wine country.

This map, published by the Santa Barbara Chamber of Commerce, looked to capitalize on the film’s success by creating a custom itinerary for the wine enthusiast. Eighteen separate locations that are visited in the movie are numbered on the map and explained in further detail on the verso.
