Description
This incredibly detailed trail map covering the northern half of California’s Sequoia National Forest was designed by Henry S. Graves of the U.S. Forest Service in 1916 – less than a decade after the area was first established as a protected reserve by President Theodore Roosevelt. A wealth of information is presented within the heavily outlined park boundaries, including transportation routes, emergency services, the composition of the landscape, flora/fauna, available supplies, campgrounds, geographic features, and more. Somewhat surprisingly, there remain several large areas marked as UNEXPLORED! Text on the verso provides helpful travel details, fish & game laws, camping info, local fish stocks, and tips for fire prevention and safety.
