Description
This side-view of Batman’s secret lair was included in a 1968 comic book authored by Bob Kane and published by National Periodical Publications, Inc. on behalf of DC Comics. The popular television series starring Adam West had just concluded its third and final season of production, but the Caped Crusader’s adventures would continue in print.
The somewhat cheesy layout reflects the campy style of the television program. Shown connected to Wayne Manor via an elevator, the Batcave is filled with gadgetry, vehicles, and a trophy room containing relics from the Joker, Penguin, and more. The Batmobile, a unique design based loosely on the Futura used in the TV show, can be seen in the upper left.
