Description

This rare pictorial map of the northeastern United States was published in the mid to late 1960s by Seagram Distiller’s Company of New York. A large area bounded by Washington, D.C., Niagara Falls, the Canadian border, and the Atlantic coast is dotted with illustrated vignettes that showcase many regional attractions, recreational activities, and historic sites. Interstates and major highways are noted in bright red.

A list of seventy-seven different places to see (many of which are shown) is noted on the verso, as selected by Richard Joseph, a prominent travel writer. Scattered advertisements for Seagram’s 7 Crown can be seen throughout. “Say Seagram’s and be Sure” – presumably when Dad is ordering a whiskey while on vacation.

Scarce, with no examples listed in WorldCat and unidentified in other online databases.
