Cheesy commercial map of the oldest continually habited city in the United States.

Description
St. Augustine, Florida is renowned for its sunny beaches, historic sites, and bold Spanish architecture, but they all seem to be lost in a sea of advertising on this map of the city from 1977. Signage for local restaurants, real estate agencies and alligator farms are illustrated adjacent to landmarks like the Castillo de San Marcos and St. Augustine Light Station.
Negative space is occupied by simple illustrations and broad swathes of green paint – presumably because there were fewer business willing to sponsor the map’s creation from these areas!
The verso features three columns advertising various Things to Do, Places to Eat, and Places to Stay. Published locally in 1977 by the Atlantique Press, Inc. Artwork by Puckett and Puckett.
