Description
This is an uncommon and detailed plan of Saguache County, Colorado, compiled locally by William L. Hammond. It was probably originally drawn between 1910 and 1920, but based on the paper and manuscript updates this is likely a later reprint published specifically for a new property owner.
The image predates any paved roads, noting only railroads, wagon trails, and footpaths. Boundaries lines for artesian well flows, irrigation districts, National Forests, townships, and sections are also identified. A bright pink circle identifies a parcel of ‘Your Land’ for a previous owner, the bounds of which are described in detail below the distance scale.
