Russ Smiley’s Fishing Map of South Florida

This gorgeous map of southern Florida was drawn and published in 1971 by the talented illustrator and avid angler, Russ Smiley. The peninsula, south of the Everglades, and the Florida Keys are captured within a border comprised of leaping marlins, schools of snapper, and other examples of the excellent local catches available. Recommended areas for popular species are provided, in addition to suggested methods for catch (casting, bottom fishing, trolling, drift fishing) and the most common locations. Russ’s illustrations and pictorial maps and limited edition prints have received National recognition.” He must not be a bad cook, either, as he offers several suggested cooking preparations for the tastiest fish.
