Description
This uncommon unit history traces the World War II campaign of the 15th Tank Battalion, an element of the 6th Armored Division. A muted gray base map has been overlaid with bright red lines following the route of the battalion across the European Theater. Small tank icons reflect major engagements, with insets highlighting areas around Bastogne and Nancy, the former recognizing the 15th’s contribution to the Battle of the Bulge. Additional battles occurred across Germany until a meetup with the Red Army near Mittweida. Such a combat record certainly deserves the campaign decorations replicated across the top of the page!
The map is rare and unlisted in WorldCat or other online repositories as of July 2024.
