Description

This fun and cartoonish exploration of our solar system was published in 1969 by Rand McNally on behalf of McDonald’s. One side presents Ronald McDonald exploring the sun and nine orbiting planets. Accompanying tables outline interplanetary weights, facts about the moon, interplanetary travel times, and details about theoretical lunar sports. “On the Moon, Ronald McDonald jumps 18 feet to stop a hard drive over second base.”

The verso shows a condensed version of Rand McNally’s Official Map of the Moon, along with brief descriptions of the Apollo 8 – 11 missions.
