Description
Originally released in 2004 as the third title in the critically acclaimed Total War series, Rome: Total War logically takes place in the Roman Empire during the transition from the Republican to Imperial eras. The player controls one of several available factions, including non-Romans, as they vie for control of the Mediterranean world.
A genre-defining balance between turn-based strategy and real-time tactical battles led to wildly popular reviews and a remaster of the game released in 2021. The verso of the map shows the technology tree for the Roman Civilization – a handy guide when considering what to build within the game.
