Description

This detailed road atlas offers a fascinating glimpse at the transportation infrastructure of the USSR around the same time the United States was building its massive Interstate Highway System. Dozens of color-printed maps across more than 130 pages cover the entirety of the Soviet Union and its constituent republics. Each identifies the local road network, geographic features, major industries, and other relevant features. Strip maps, regional plans, a diagram of Moscow’s Ring Road (completed in 1962), an index of places, and list of street signs are all also included.
