Description
This ephemeral little souvenir was distributed to passengers aboard the R.M.S. Queen Elizabeth II to commemorate their onboard ordeal during Hurricane Gloria. The sheet presents a map of the storm front, a reproduction of the ship’s log, and a note from cruise director John Gow.
“On this Voyage, R.M.S. Queen Elizabeth 2 encountered some of the heaviest weather and endured one of the worst gales that she has ever encountered in her sailing history. These conditions were generated by Hurricane Gloria, which also caused havoc along the American Eastern Seaboard.”
