This convenient compilation of road maps covers, in detail, the western states of California, Arizona, Washington, Idaho, Nevada and Oregon. A nationwide index map is followed by state maps and plans of Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and Portland.
Each map is accompanied by a subtitle succinctly summarizing its high points. For example, “Nowhere is motoring more delightful than in the Pacific Northwest – a wonderland of extraordinary charm” and “Grandeur of mountain and desert…an immense pageant of western tradition and color.”
The San Francisco map references the ongoing Golden Gate International Exposition held on Treasure Island. Published in Chicago by the H.M. Gousha Company in 1939 on behalf of Richfield Oil Corporation.
