Reunion Tower [Dallas, TX]

The best view of Dallas is from atop the Reunion Tower.

Completed in 1978, Reunion Tower is a 561 ft observation tower adjacent to Hyatt Regency and one of the most iconic elements of the Dallas skyline. It lies in the center of this 360-degree pictorial representation of the surrounding area, with numerous vignettes highlighting other locations of interest across the city. A diverse mix of industry, recreation, public buildings, and historic sites are represented, in addition to a number of figures engaged in amusing activities.

An artist’s signature, C.T. Bishop, is cleverly hidden amid the bushes on the ‘right’ side of the sheet. Likely published by the Dallas Hyatt Regency, based on promotional text found on the verso. Issued around 1998 to promote the recently completed renovations that included the hotel, tower, and Dallas Union Station.
