Description

This detailed financial report was compiled by the Commissioner of Public Lands for the Territory of Hawaii and published in 1952. The contents outline the past two years of real estate transactions (sales, permits, patents, leases, etc.) between the local territorial government and various interested parties. Notable projects include several housing developments (including beachfront properties) and large industrial/farm lots across the archipelago.

Long lists of agreements are accompanied by financial data and four folding maps prepared by the Hawaii Territorial Survey in 1929; Hawaii, Oahu, Kauai, and Maui. The staff directory near the front of the volume reflects a diverse composition of genders and ethnicities – the groundwork for the forthcoming Hawaii Democratic Revolution of 1854.
