Description
This scarce and ephemeral pamphlet was distributed by the Bear Book Company of Staunton, Virginia to advertise Rand McNally’s 1928 automobile road maps. Native American imagery used on the cover of the firm’s’ auto atlases is provided on the front, while the second and third pages provide a wealth of details as to why Rand McNally’s road maps are “complete motor guides folded to convenient pocket size.” An example of the map’s image is given to actual size, along with an extensive key. The back cover lists the publications available and prices, ranging from 35 cents for a single map to 75 cents for the entire atlas.
