Description
For many maps and atlases sold during WWII, Rand McNally included a coupon that would allow the buyer to redeem a supplement showing all the political and territorial changes resulting from the outcome of the war. According to a letter from the president of the company, tipped into the first page, the six year holdup was a result of peace treaties that never materialized.
The sixteen pages include nearly 20 maps showing the updated global situation in a variety of theaters, listed on the front cover. As many wartime buyers did not redeem the coupon, this publication is relatively uncommon compared to other Rand McNally publications.
