Description

This fascinating booklet was published in 1924 to commemorate the proceedings of the Lake Michigan Sanitation Congress, held in Hammond, IN on June 27th & 28th of that year. Nearly 200 registered delegates from Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan met at the Masonic Temple to discuss pollution prevention, sanitation methods, and best practices for water conservation.

The booklet’s 90 pages include copies of reports and resolutions, a table of statistics, and several folding plates; including maps showing the Sanitary District of Chicago, a bird’s eye view of Milwaukee’s new sewer plant, and a chart of planned construction projects.
