“Postal Code Areas and Postal Codes along with District Divisions” – Approximate title translation
1 in stock
Description
This ephemeral map efficiently divides the Third Reich into twenty-four different postal districts (approximating to Gaue). A table at the bottom lists each area and its respective number, while text on the verso provides a city directory and their corresponding postal codes. Centers in Riga, Krakow, and Rivne reflect occupied territories captured since the onset of Operation Barbarossa. The map’s creator and publisher are anonymous as far as I can tell, though a printer’s code on the verso indicates a possible date of 1944.
