An uncommon Urdu world map, presenting the globalizing forces of the 20th century.

This Urdu-language wall map, printed on thin paper and issued before the fall of the Soviet Union (and, apparently, after the unification of Vietnam), offers a somewhat rudimentary political overview of the world in the upper half of the image. The central insets/diagrams (from left to right) present a pie chart of land area, global elevation, population density, and areas of water coverage. The bottom two maps show primary shipping routes (left) and primary aviation routes (right), followed by a list of countries that participate in the United Nations.
