“U.S. 6 Grand Army Highway is the Newest and Coolest Route Between the East and Southern California.”

Description
This charming postwar promotional map attempts to persuade motorists that U.S. Highways 6 and 50 are the best possible way west, at least between Colorado and California. An arcing image shows the partially bifurcated route running from Pueblo and Denver to San Francisco and Los Angeles. Vignettes and captioned photographs highlight nearby attractions and points of interest.
One feature of the highway combination that is heavily emphasized is the cooler temperatures – this was before air conditioning in most car models! Published around 1954 by the Utah Bank Note Company, likely on behalf of an association of Chambers of Commerce of towns along the route.
