This celebration of the American Armed Services during World War II was published in Chicago by Rand McNally in 1943 on behalf of Planter’s Peanuts. Its sixteen pages provide a comprehensive, if biased, overview of each branch of the Armed Forces.
Illustrations of insignia and uniforms are accompanied by exaggerated cartoons outlining many of the heroic actions and specializations undertaken by soldiers in the armed forces. Photographs and descriptions of equipment, maps of the theaters of war, and information on enemy troops are also provided.
