This detailed atlas of the Spanish-American War was compiled by LeRoy Armstrong and published by George Cram in 1899. Its 240+ pages provide a fulsome, if biased, account of the brief conflict that saw the U.S. acquire its first substantial overseas territories. An interesting variety of photographs, text, maps, and illustrations provides contemporary insight into American perceptions of the war, especially the patriotic zeal at its victorious conclusion.
