Description

The spring in southern France from which Perrier is drawn has been a popular spa since Roman times, and bottling the water for sale has been in practice since at least 1863. In 1898, Local doctor Louis Perrier purchased the area and lent his name to the bubbly beverage that remains popular to this day.

This promotional map set of England and Wales is advertising material for “The Champagne of Table Waters” and includes sixteen separate map sheets. One key map shows the breakdown of the thirteen uniform large scale maps of each region, while an extra map of Central London and a distance table are also included. The royal warrant for the beverage is proudly shown on front of the green cloth case. A similar set published with maps of France is also available.
