Description

This delightful mid-century invitation to Paris presents an engaging overview of the French capital in the years following World War II. Gone are the bomb craters and collaborators; replaced by the theater, fine restaurants, and historic landmarks. A personal welcome by famed entertainer Lucienne Boyer is followed by text (French and English) summarizing many of the most popular attractions. To the back cover is affixed an attractive pictorial map of Paris, with vignettes representing over sixty of the city’s most iconic monuments.

Published in Valenciennes in 1950 by the Société Internationale de Publicité Générale et Touristique, a popular advertising firm.
