Palm Beach County: Tropical Florida’s First Resort
Pictorial tourist map of Palm Beach County.

Description
Twenty-seven attractions, ranging from greyhound racing to the “Afromobile”, are illustrated on this charming map of Palm Springs County, issued by the Board of Commissioners around 1963. The title claim of “Tropical Florida’s First Paradise” is suspect in its veracity, at least based on the modern conveniences and recreational activities depicted.
Numerous additional locations of interest are shown in red and represent an attempt to appeal to the broadest audience possible, or perhaps to give the appearance of a busy, bustling landscape (or both). Religious and educational institutions, industrial centers, sports facilities and nightclubs – Palm Beach County has something for everyone!
