This stylized map shows North America, the Caribbean and the top third of South America. French colonial possessions, concentrated in St. Pierre, Guadeloupe, Martinique and Guyana, are highlighted in orange, and local commodities are represented with small vignettes. According to text at the bottom of the sheet, the islands have been enlarged 20 times to show additional detail.
This is one of a set of eight maps highlighting the French Empire published in 1939 in Paris by the pharmaceutical laboratory Neutroses-Vichy.
