Description
This early 20th century brochure was published by the Northern Pacific Railway in 1905. It contains the timetables and a system map showing the Yellowstone National Park Route to one of the country’s most popular outdoor destinations. Several inset maps throughout highlight particular areas in the Pacific Northwest while contemporary advertisements promote various expeditions and amenities available to the intrepid traveler.
The centerfold map shows the routes of the St. Paul & Duluth Railroad, which had recently been acquired by the Northern Pacific. Further text highlights the steamships, real estate holdings, and luxurious train cars available along the company lines.
