Highlights of New York for the attendees of a sporting goods convention.

Description
This punchy post war map of Midtown Manhattan heavily distorts the geography of the Big Apple to best highlight attractions surrounding the Hotel New Yorker. The historic luxury accommodations were host to the Annual Convention of the National Sporting Goods Association in February 1947, and the pictorial fold-out was issued to accompany the official program. Nearby locations of interest include the Empire State Building, Times Square, the Rockefeller Center, and Central Park. Greenwich Village, Chinatown, and City Hall are also shown in an abstract fashion.
The accompanying program notes event highlights, major speakers, and a list of attendees with their corresponding hotel information! The ‘Guest Exceptional’ was Dunninger, one of the world’s foremost mentalists and a prominent dubunker of fraudulent psychics and mediums.
