Description
This charming puzzle map of Europe was published in London by W. Peacock around 1880. Approximately 40 pieces comprise a detailed continental overview based on an image originally designed by Gall & Inglis. A paper ‘key’ version is included, in case a cheat sheet is needed!
The original wooden box features an attractive cover with the classic English archetypes of Brittania, a lion, and a horn of plenty. Classic symbols of prosperity and strength during the Victorian Era. Dated based on the national boundaries in the Balkans, which predate Bulgaria’s annexation of Eastern Rumelia in 1885.
