This beautiful blue, green, and red map of Minnesota highlights the (approximately) 10,000 lakes available to the intrepid tourist along hundreds of miles of state trunk highways, steam railroads, and electric lines. Prominent geographic features, parks, and historic sites are also labeled throughout the attractive image.

Dozens of tourist camps are listed in an adjacent index. These facilities ranged from open fields in which to park a car and pitch a tent to more established sites with permanent structures and guest amenities like electricity, running water, etc. Text at the bottom of the page provides further information on Minnesota’s abundance of natural beauty and outdoor recreation. The verso presents a list of Fish and Game Laws, an extensive list of statewide accommodations, and further promotional text and photographs.

The map was copyrighted in 1928 by the McGill-Warner Company of St. Paul, Minnesota. Published in 1930 by the Ten Thousand Lakes Greater Minnesota Association, in conjunction with the Minnesota State Department of Conservation.
