Description
This color lithographed map of Minnesota was created and published in Chicago by George Cram in 1889. It shows the Land of 10,000 Lakes organized by county, with the robust network of railroads boldly depicted.
The state’s moniker is well-earned, though the image only includes some of the largest bodies of water and omits many of the smaller ones. The verso features a map of North Dakota in its first year of statehood.
