Description
This color lithographed map of Minnesota was published 400 years after Columbus first discovered the New World! It was created by George Cram for inclusion in the 1892 edition of his Unrivaled Family Atlas of the World.
Railroads, primary catalysts for growth in the late 19th century, are individually identified and represented with thick bold lines reaching to nearly every corner of the image. Towns, geographic features, and counties are also labeled. An inset map in the upper right corner includes the eastern tip of Cook County.
