Description

This postwar reflection on the actions of the Japanese military during World War II was originally compiled and edited by Rokuo Ueno in 1947. This is a complete example of the later reprint, issued in 1985 by the Nichichi Publishing Company.

An editor’s note and publisher’s commentary are accompanied by two large folding maps, each measuring about 40.5″ x 28.5″. One sheet offers an overview of the Japanese Army’s loss of combat effectiveness across the South Pacific and China. A chronology of major battles lists the respective casualties, while a chart in the lower right shows the rapidly declining aircraft production capability. The second page highlights the losses of Japanese naval vessels across the theater.
