This bright map of the Europe, North Africa, and Central Asia highlights the regional petroleum production of the Mediterranean world. Refineries, pipelines, and fields for both gas and oil facilities are shown throughout. Large concentrations are noted on the shores of the Caspian Sea, the Ploesti region of Romania, and in the Middle East. Three inset maps detail areas around Iran, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia.
The map was published in Tulsa, Oklahoma by the Petroleum Publishing Company. It was issued as a supplement to the December 28, 1959 issue of the Oil and Gas Journal.
