This pleasant pictorial map of Marin County, California was issued by the local visitor’s bureau in the early 1960s to promote motor tourism across the scenic region. Marin’s ‘Highways and Byways’ are highlighted in bright red, with a table in the lower left presenting distances from the Golden Gate Bridge to various attractions and towns.
Published around 1962 by the Marin Visitor’s Bureau in Mill Valley. Dated using information and photographs on the verso describing the ‘new’ Civic Center, completed that year and designed by recently deceased Frank Lloyd Wright.
