This ‘History of the 65th Infantry Division’s March Across Germany’ was authored by Sgt. Bill Jordy and printed in Austria by J. Wimmer in 1945. The contents were originally issued as a serial in the divisional newsletter, The 65th Halbert, and were reprinted in this commemorative volume shortly after V-E Day.

Its 36 pages offer a brief description of the 65th Infantry Division’s actions in the European Theater of Operations. Small maps and illustrations provide additional context on specific engagements like breaching the Siegfried Line, crossing the Danube River, and the Battle of Struth. A fold-out map designed by Pfc. Melbourne Hontz traces the division’s route across France and Germany – a march of nearly 600 miles.
