Description

This vibrantly colored map was copy-written in 1936 by the Eagle Pencil Company of New York. Based on the (apparently inadvertent) markings across the page, the sheet may have been issued directly in the product packaging!

The image displays a simple political map of the world, noting international boundaries, important cities, and major aviation routes – including Gordon Taylor’s first flight from the U.S. to Australia. The upper border presents ‘Where the Zoo Gets its Animals’, while the lower edge shows ‘Children of Many Lands’ – both interesting representations of contemporary ideas for juvenile education.
