Description
This disbound atlas map of Milwaukee, Wisconsin was published in Indianapolis by George Cram in 1886. Although details and toponyms are relatively sparse, the bright lithographed color gives the image an attractive look that accurately captures the city in the late 19th century.
Bay View existed as a separate village for only 7 years, from 1879 to 1886. The year following publication, residents voted for annexation into the adjacent city of Milwaukee.
