At the time this street map was published, Long Beach, California was an oil town and booming coastal city, as well as a popular seaside resort. Golf courses, parks, and other recreational facilities are shown alongside airfields, piers, transportation routes, and other elements highlighting the city’s industrial prowess. A comprehensive street index can be found on the left and bottom of the sheet, while the verso includes a road map of Southern California and a photographic panorama of the Long Beach skyline.
The map was created by the Clason Map Company in 1930 and printed in Long Beach by Green’s Inc.
