Description
This fun and handy map of the Bronx Zoo was published by the New York Zoological Society around 1943. Though undated, the presence of both Giant Pandas (gifts from Madame Chiang Kai-Shek) and the temporary home of the New York Aquarium near the Lion House give bookends of 1945 and 1942, respectively. The zoo is divided into four areas, with major animal attractions and visitor amenities pictured and labeled throughout each. Short descriptive text and a few photos on the verso.
