Description
This map, published in a 1962 comic issue of Superboy, shows the fantastic geography of the planet Krypton; home of Superman, Supergirl, and others of the Kryptonian race. Wonderous natural features like the Jewel Mountain and Rainbow Canyon are vibrantly illustrated alongside incredibly advanced urban technology. Accompanying text describes several of the locations such as the Kryptonian Zoo, Argo City, Kandor, and Jor-El’s Laboratory, in some detail. The planet would ultimately be destroyed, but not before its most famous inhabitant was jettisoned to the safety of Earth. The same issue also includes a chart showing ‘How the Super-Family Came to Earth from Krypton.’
