Description
Though today the city is trying to distance itself, recreational marijuana has been available for use and sale in the coffee shops of Amsterdam since the 1970’s. It has been a popular destination for partakers ever since, and was host to the 5th annual High Times Cannabis Cup in 1993.
This map was issued in conjunction with the event, and shows the location of over 30 hotels, bars, and coffee shops. Transportation routes and places of interest are labeled, and there are even a number of free bus pickup points noted for use by the judges.
The map was originally published in 1993, but this particular example comes from a 1997 edition featuring ‘the Best of High Times.’
