This single-page circular was issued by the Capital Area Map Alliance to promote the first Washington, D.C. Map Festival, held at the Convention Center from March 20-24, 1985. Map enthusiasts of all ages and professional backgrounds were encouraged to participate in a variety of ways, including volunteering, presenting, and making financial contributions – “Your participation will help guarantee thousands of school children the important opportunity to discover the thrill and importance of maps and geography.”
