Description

“Embrace the tangled, dreamy sensibilities of Southern literary life evoked by the gentle pastels of this landmark map which traces the birthplaces, homes and haunts of significant Southern authors from Tennessee Williams and William Faulkner to Carson McCullers and Margaret Mitchell.” – Text, back cover.

This charming map of the southeastern United States was published in Los Angeles in 1988 by Aaron Blake Publishers. The company issued several similar literary maps in the late 80’s and early 90’s that celebrated the notable publication history of different regions across the Western Hemisphere. A simple outline numbers over seventy-five different locations of interest that relate to the various authors who were born or lived in the American South (listed on the right side). Blank on verso.
