Description
This manuscript plan of Lion Share Recording Studio is dated 5-16-82 and signed by Jay Antisto in the lower right – presumably the creator. At the time, the studio was likely undergoing its final updates as one of the premier recording facilities on the West Coast.
The building (formerly ABC Records) was purchased by Kenny Rogers the year prior and the map reflects lavish amenities and the latest available technology (despite several misspellings). Lion Share would ultimately host an incredible array of talented producers and artists including Eric Clapton, Michael Jackson, Bette Midler, Randy Newman, Sting, Stevie Nicks, and many more.
