This detailed real estate map shows the northern portion of Marinette County, Wisconsin. The image itself is rather basic; a black and white map with red highlights showing farm houses, schools, local cheese factories and transportation routes. Persuasive text in the borders combined with an inset map highlighting the regional access to agricultural markets provides a compelling narrative to prospective farmers.

This particular example includes a submission for a parcel colored in red on the map and described as within a quarter mile of “a widely known trout fishing stream.” Published locally by the Skidmore Land Company around 1912, blank on the verso.
