Description
Situated on the border between Nevada and California, Lake Tahoe has been a welcome recreation destination in the parched American west for well over a century. This graceful representation was designed by W.W. Zimmer and published by the Lake Tahoe Sierra Association around 1953, based on the various lodging shown along the lakeshore.
The image is oriented with east at the top, with the more developed northwestern shoreline in the foreground. Fifty-four separate places for accommodation, along with their respective P.O. boxes (write for more info!) are listed along the bottom.
An index map in the lower right shows the connecting highways across California. The verso includes photos, text, illustrations, and a list of points of interest.
